Visit to the exhibition "Jaume Plensa" with the artist

Fecha de inicio:
31 January 2019

Last Thursday, January 31st, the MACBA Foundation organized an exclusive guided tour for the collaborators to the exhibition Jaume Plensa with explanations by the artist. It was a pleasure to listen to Jaume Plensa (Barcelona, 1955) talking about his works, which conceive primarily as devices to which we can commit relationships. Indeed, we interacted with captivating and diverse works such as the sculptures Firenze II (1992), Mémoires Jumelles (1992) and Glückauf? or the images that compose Dallas?...Caracas? (1997), among others.

The display brought us to deeply connect with Plensa’s universe as well, since the exhibition, curated by MACBA director Ferran Barenblit, offers an overview through nearly three decades of his multifaceted work. Twenty-two years since his last exhibition in the city, Barcelona has the opportunity to enjoy the creations of one of the most internationally recognised Catalan artists.
